This Cookie Policy explains how ODREN LTD (formerly SKILLFORGE.VIP LTD until 11 May 2026), a private limited company incorporated in England and Wales, company number 15944303, with its registered office at 7 Manchester Square, London, England, W1U 3PQ ("SkillForge", "we", "us", "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies on skillforge.vip, on Provider subdomains hosted by us, and in the SkillForge dashboard.
This Cookie Policy should be read together with the Privacy Policy at /privacy and the Terms and Conditions at /terms.
At a glance
- We use only first-party cookies by default. We do not run advertising cookies or cross-site tracking on skillforge.vip.
- Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent. All other cookies are off until you consent through the banner or the Preference Center.
- You can change your preferences at any time from the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.
- Consent is stored for a maximum of 6 months, after which we ask you again.
1. What are cookies
1.1 Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your device, remember your choices, and provide functionality. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, SDKs on mobile, and server-side fingerprinting techniques. In this policy, references to "cookies" cover all such technologies, in line with the EDPB Guidelines 2/2023 and the Italian Garante Provvedimento of 10 June 2021.
1.2 First-party cookies are set by skillforge.vip or by Provider subdomains hosted on our infrastructure. Third-party cookies are set by other domains embedded on our pages. SkillForge does not currently deploy third-party advertising cookies.
2. Categories we use
2.1 Strictly necessary
These cookies are essential to operate the platform and cannot be switched off. They do not require consent under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive as transposed nationally, Regulation 6 of the UK PECR, and Article 122 of the Italian Codice Privacy.
Examples: session identifier, authentication token, CSRF protection, load balancer routing.
2.2 Preferences
These cookies remember choices you make to improve the experience, such as language selection, dashboard layout, or region. Enabled only with your consent, except where strictly required to deliver a feature you have explicitly requested.
2.3 Analytics
These cookies help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Analytics cookies run only after you consent. We use privacy-friendly analytics (server-side or aggregated) whenever possible.
2.4 Marketing
These cookies are used to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns and, if enabled, to personalise messages. Marketing cookies run only after you consent. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on skillforge.vip at this time. If we introduce them, we will update this policy and re-request consent.
3. Cookies we set
The table below lists the cookies currently used by SkillForge. Any change is reflected in a new version of this Cookie Policy and, where consent is required, we will re-ask.

When we activate analytics or marketing tooling, this table will be updated to include the exact vendor, cookie names, purpose, and retention. Currently, none is active by default.
4. Similar technologies used by the Platform
- Local storage and session storage. Used by the dashboard to cache non-sensitive UI state such as recently viewed items. Cleared on logout.
- Pixels and beacons. Not used on skillforge.vip.
- Mobile SDKs. Not applicable at this time; we do not distribute a mobile app.
- Server-side session cookies. Used for authentication as described above.
5. Cookies on Provider subdomains
Provider subdomains hosted by SkillForge (for example academia.provider.skillforge.vip) inherit our strictly necessary cookies. Providers acting as controllers for their Learners may add their own cookies through the customisation options we make available. In that case, the Provider is responsible for informing Learners and collecting the required consent under the ePrivacy rules applicable to the Provider's audience. We provide guidance and template banners to Providers in the dashboard.
6. Third parties
We do not currently embed third-party cookies for advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking. If, in the future, we integrate the following, we will disclose them in this policy and, where applicable, request consent before setting them:
- Product analytics (for example Plausible or PostHog EU) hosted in the EU
- Video hosting cookies from Mux or Cloudflare Stream for player state
- Support widget cookies from a helpdesk vendor
- E-invoicing and payment cookies from Stripe or SDI integration partners, only within checkout and dashboard flows where strictly necessary
7. Legal basis for cookies
7.1 Strictly necessary cookies are placed on the basis of Article 5(3) ePrivacy Directive, second sentence, and its national transpositions, which allow storage strictly necessary to provide the service explicitly requested by the user. No consent is required.
7.2 All other cookies are placed on the basis of your consent, freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous, in line with Article 4(11) and Article 7 GDPR, the ePrivacy Directive as transposed nationally, Regulation 6 of the UK PECR, and Article 122 of the Italian Codice Privacy. Consent can be withdrawn at any time with no detriment.
7.3 The processing of personal data collected via cookies, once consent for the cookie is given, is described in the Privacy Policy and rests on legitimate interests or consent depending on the purpose. Special category data is not processed via cookies.
8. How to manage cookies
8.1 Cookie banner. When you first visit skillforge.vip, a banner offers three equal-weight options: Accept all, Reject all, Manage preferences.
8.2 Preference Center. You can reopen the Preference Center at any time by clicking "Cookie preferences" in the footer, or by visiting /cookies/preferences. Your changes take effect immediately.
8.3 Browser controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies from Settings > Privacy. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from logging in.
8.4 Do Not Track. We honour the Global Privacy Control signal (GPC). When your browser sends a GPC signal, we default to "Reject all non-essential" unless you have expressly overridden it in the Preference Center.
9. International transfers via cookies
Some cookies, when we activate analytics or marketing, may involve transfers of personal data outside the UK, the EEA, or Switzerland. In that case, we rely on the safeguards described in Section 7 of the Privacy Policy (UK IDTA, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, Swiss annex), and we will identify the specific vendors and destinations in this Cookie Policy before activation.
10. Retention of cookie data
Cookie durations are listed in Section 3. Consent choices are retained for 6 months in the sf_consent_v1 cookie, after which the banner reappears. Consent audit logs are retained for 3 years for evidentiary purposes and then deleted.
11. Your rights
You have all the rights described in Section 11 of the Privacy Policy, including the right to withdraw consent for cookies at any time, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority (see Section 15 of the Privacy Policy).
12. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The updated version will be published at skillforge.vip/cookies with the "Last updated" date modified accordingly. When we make material changes (for example, adding an analytics or marketing vendor), we will re-request consent through the banner.
